Job Summary:

We are seeking an Association Specialist to join our team—a master relationship builder and trusted operational advisor who thrives at the intersection of strategy, organization, and people.

In this role, they will serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and multiple client committees, leveraging exceptional communication and proactive problem-solving skills to preserve and strengthen vital client partnerships. With a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to service excellence, the candidate will confidently guide client leadership through governance compliance, strategic milestone tracking, and fiscal alignment, while directing end-to-end program execution, stakeholder communications, and marketing oversight to ensure all deliverables are executed flawlessly, on time, and within scope.

  • Strategic Client & Stakeholder Support
    • Support high-value client relationships by serving as a dependable point of contact, maintaining regular communication, and ensuring client requests are addressed promptly
    • Assist client leadership in executing strategic initiatives, providing operational support for programs focused on member recruitment, retention, and engagement
    • Coordinate stakeholder communications, assisting with the delivery of updates, benefits, and deliverables to Boards of Directors, volunteers, and sponsors
  • Committee Management
    • Provide operational leadership to assigned committees, serving as the primary liaison to advise chairs, facilitate meetings, document action items, and ensure project momentum
    • Guide committee performance and sustainability, establishing strategic milestones, tracking deliverables against client bylaws/strategic plans, and managing volunteer succession planning
    • Enforce governance and fiscal compliance, ensuring all committee and board activities strictly align with client policies, procedures, and approved operating budgets
  • Event & Project Execution
  • Coordinate logistical execution for physical and virtual events, assisting with pre-planning tasks, launch meetings, registration management, and on-site or digital production support
  • Facilitate speaker and sponsor fulfillment, managing the intake of digital assets, scheduling rehearsals, and coordinating promotional deliverables (logos, e-blasts, websites)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to ensure all client deliverables are executed on time, within scope, and up to established quality standards
  • Communications & Marketing Oversight
    • Support management of the client communications calendar, authoring, reviewing, and approving high-stakes copy to ensure timely and brand-aligned marketing campaigns
    • Coordinate social media and public relations content, providing internal teams with updates and media assets to maximize client visibility
  • Adhere to ACG policies and processes
  • Utilize ACG project management tools
  • Actively contribute to the ACG appraisal process by submitting peer feedback

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience cultivating high-trust client partnerships, with a strong preference for background in multi-client settings or the Association Management Company (AMC) industry
  • Proven success managing complex projects from conception to completion, ensuring quality control, budget adherence, and deadline compliance
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with a proven ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to synthesize ideas and interact effectively with diverse internal and external audiences
  • Proficient in core platforms like Google Workspace and Microsoft Outlook and video conferencing tools, with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn specialized marketing, project management, and Association Management Systems (AMS)
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally for client events, including occasional weekends and holidays

 

Schedule:

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position with a standard Monday-to-Friday schedule. Please note that this role requires flexibility for evening events and travel to client conferences.

Benefits:

  • Generous paid time off (PTO) package, paid company holidays, and a paid winter shutdown between December 24th and January 1st. Additionally, this role is eligible for our “Gifted Days” policy, providing extra dedicated time to rest and recharge between conferences.
