2025 marks 20 years since I took the leap and founded Association & Conference Group! It’s incredible how quickly time flies when you’re passionate about what you do.
Starting out as a solopreneur with a big idea, I was determined to make a difference in the way associations receive management services. I do come from a traditional association management background. Instead, I learned about our industry when I volunteered and served on a board of directors that was receiving lackluster management service. As a result of that experience, when I started ACG, I was determined to provide the level of service we would expect to receive. My vision was simple: provide personalized service, expert guidance, and unwavering support to help associations thrive.
Over the past two decades, I’ve had the privilege of working with some amazing organizations, from small non-profits to large industry groups. I’ve witnessed firsthand the power of community and the dedication of countless volunteers.
I’ve also had the opportunity to work with an incredible group of professionals, mostly women. I have consistently been impressed with the level of dedication and resourcefulness exhibited by the ACG team. I’ve watched many on the team move, buy homes, grow families, care for family members, travel, learn, and grow. All of this fulfills the ACG Why which is to empower people.
There have been challenges, of course. Navigating the ever-changing landscape of association management, coupled with scaling a business from 1 to over 25 staff operating in 11 states requires constant learning and adaptation. But through it all, ACG has remained committed to our core values. We believe if our team is able to grow professionally, thrive in partnerships with colleagues and clients, conduct themselves with integrity and transparency, problem-solve and innovate, and feel respected and empowered, our clients will be successful.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue serving the association community and embracing new opportunities. Thank you to the ACG team, clients, colleagues, and mentors who have supported me on this incredible journey. Here’s to the next 20 years!
